Reasonably priced accommodations are available in the university residence halls for conference attendees and their registered guests.
Rooms are furnished with one or two single beds, and have shared bathrooms.
Attendees will be able to make reservations for on-campus accommodations directly through UCSB on-campus housing and all information is available here. Note that children under the age of 13 cannot stay in the dormitories, so those bringing younger children will need to make separate arrangements in one of the nearby hotels.
For attendees staying on campus, free shuttle bus service is available between the residence halls and the airport. In addition, parking is also available at no cost to attendees who reside on campus. A permit can be requested upon arrival.
For those who choose not to stay in the residence halls, the following is a list of hotels which have provided room blocks for CSF and Crypto. Those who choose to stay off campus are responsible for making their own reservations. Early reservations are advised since August is a popular season in Santa Barbara.
The Club & Guest House at UC Santa Barbara is now open! A block of rooms have been reserved for CSF and Crypto at a reduced rate (listed below). Please note that there are no additional room fees associated with these rates. Parking can be purchased when you check-in for $8/day; $4/Sat-Sun.
Specific instructions listed below on how to make your reservation.
Blocks of rooms have also been reserved for CSF and Crypto at the Pacifica Suites and the Best Western South Coast Inn. Note that a car will be required to travel between any hotel and the campus. All prices are subject to change and do not include a 10-12% tax; prices should be confirmed by calling the hotels directly.
You must mention UCSB-Crypto (or Crypto 2017) when you are making your reservations so you will be eligible for the university rate, which can be a significant savings.
Please note that rates for Friday and Saturday night stayovers are significantly higher. For further information or to select another hotel venue, try contacting Visit Santa Barbara.
